The Vikings hired grizzled coach Gary Kubiak this offseason as an assistant coach and offensive advisor.
Look for Kubiak to spend plenty of time with first-year offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski.
So far, the coach who has been in the league since 1994, has been a huge help for the younger Stefanski.
“I’ll just tell you, as a resource, Coach Kub has done it at a really high level,” Stefanski said. “Has called it, coached quarterbacks. There are times in the run game or pass game, it could be a play action, it could be a movement, where I think Coach has a unique perspective. I can tell you just from being in our meeting room, these past few weeks and as we go forward, it’s been really, really helpful.”
It looks like the Vikings are trying to course correct a bit after the John DeFilippo and they are adding a strong group of experienced offensive minds to support Stefanski.
