Gary Davies reflects on difficult start to Radio 2 breakfast show tenure

Gary Davies has concluded his tenure hosting the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, admitting the initial period "wasn’t easy" as he bid farewell to listeners .
Davies had been covering the morning slot since Scott Mills was dismissed by the corporation in March .
Sara Cox is now poised to permanently take over the breakfast show from Monday, having previously fronted the teatime programme.
Cox expressed her excitement about the new role, stating it feels like a "full circle" moment and promising excellent music and superstar guests.
Hollywood superstar Tom Hanks is confirmed as her first guest, with the new BBC Radio 2 breakfast show set to launch on July 6 at 6:30 am.
