Gary Barlow says Take That will never bring back iconic tour again

  • Take That 's “The Circus Live” tour , a revived version of their 2009 stadium shows, concluded its final performance in Dublin on 4 July, with Gary Barlow announcing it would not return.
  • Barlow, 55, stated that the physical demands of the elaborate production made it impossible for him to undertake the show again, contrasting it with his age of 38 during the original tour.
  • The tour, featuring Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, replicated the original's extravagant spectacle, including a floating hot air balloon, circus performers, a 30-foot mechanical elephant, and a 260-person ensemble.
  • Fans on TikTok widely shared montages of the “overstimulating” show, particularly highlighting the giant puppet elephant, which featured dancer Briony Albert as its viral “tail”.
  • The original “Circus Live” tour in 2009 was the fastest-selling in UK history at the time, selling out its initial dates within five hours.
