Garth Brooks given go ahead for five nights in Croke Park next year

Music legend Garth Brooks has been given the green light for a five concert spectacle at Croker next September.

Six weeks ago, Dublin City Council granted a compliance approval for the singer to play Croke Park on September 9, 10 and 11 2022.

Today, the council has granted a licence for two additional shows on September 16 and 17.

In a statement Dublin City Council said "the granted licence contains detailed, robust and wide ranging conditions."

They said: "The Council considers that the decision to grant Outdoor Event Licence application OEL 05/2022, which is subject to 20 comprehensive conditions, to be reasonable, fair and balanced following a full and detailed consideration of the application."

Brooks isn't the only musician confirmed to be playing Croker next year.

Ed Sheeran is bringing his '+ - = ÷ x TOUR' to the stadium on April 23 and 24.
