Garran testing site only taking high priority Canberrans

On Wednesday, the Garran testing COVID-19 centre will only be open for Canberrans at the highest risk of having the virus.

It will be open from 7.30am to 9pm for any close or casual contacts, people who have symptoms of COVID-19 and returned international travellers.

Children under five and their families can also get tested at Garran for any approved reason, including for pre-travel tests.

Testing sites across the ACT have been at capacity at various times in the last few weeks. ACT Minister for Health Rachel Stephen-Smith has said about 50 per cent of people getting tested are wanting to travel interstate.

Kambah drive through clinic (8am to 4pm) and Mitchell drive through clinic (8am to 10pm) will both be open tomorrow for anyone wanting to get a PCR test.

Nicholls testing clinic will also be open from 8am to 4pm for anyone, but has been relocated across the oval to the adjacent Gold Creek School Senior Site. The entry remains via Clarrie Hermes Drive.
