Garnacho starts but no Eriksen - Manchester United fans name their preferred FA Cup final line-up

Manchester United fans want to see Alejandro Garnacho and Fred start this afternoon's FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Somewhat surprisingly, it means no place for Christian Eriksen in the team. The Dane has been one of United's most influential players this season since his summer move on a free transfer from Brentford.

All eyes will be on the team Erik ten Hag selects for this afternoon's showdown at Wembley. United are seeking their second trophy of the season, while City have their sights set on securing a treble.

It is no surprise to see that MEN-reading United fans want David de Gea to start as goalkeeper. He remains the club's first-choice stopper despite some dodgy errors this season, and though his contract runs out this summer at Old Trafford as things stand, it is expected that a new deal will be agreed.

The defence supporters want to see is one too that it would be a surprise to see Erik ten Hag make any alterations too. Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof are tipped to line up in the heart of the back four, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw on the flanks.

In central midfield, fans want to see Casemiro joined in the engine room by fellow Brazilian Fred to add some more steel there and combat City's attacking threats. Bruno Fernandes is also tipped to start.

In a 4-3-3 formation, top scorer Marcus Rashford will lead the line down the middle. But United fans want to see Jadon Sancho shifted over to the right flank, with Garnacho starting on the left and not making an impact off the bench - all of this meaning there is no start for Eriksen, with Fred's energy preferred.

Starting XI United fans want to see vs City: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred, Fernandes; Sancho, Rashford, Garnacho
