Gareth Southgate's Arsenal decision for England Euro 2020 squad leaves fans divided

England fans agree with four of the seven stars Gareth Southgate dropped from his final 26-man England squad for Euro 2020 - but are unsure on the inclusion of Bukayo Saka.

With the tournament kicking off on June 11, the England manager had to cut seven of his 33-man provisional squad, with many believing it would be Trent Alexander-Arnold who would make up one of the septet left to watch the tournament at home.

But as Alexander-Arnold made the squad, much to the delight of many England fans, some other big names missed out, providing a shock for fans and pundits alike.

Do you think Jesse Lingard should have been in the Euro 2020 squad? Let us know in the comments here.

For the tens of thousands of England fans who voted on who should be left out of the Euro 2020 England squad, the Three Lions manager was right with only four of those calls.

England fans agreed that Godfrey, White, Ramsdale and Watkins should be left out of the final squad.

However, Arsenal man Saka received 6% of the vote of who should be left out of the final squad, with Ollie Watkins receiving the same percentage of the vote from fans.

White, Ramsdale and Godfrey received 9% each respectively, with 59% of the vote split between the rest of the provisional squad.

With England fans so split on the final 26, and players such as Phil Foden, Harry Kane and Luke Shaw receiving less than 1% of the vote, Saka will have a lot to prove to the England supporters as the only player in Southgate's final squad who the fans weren't convinced would make it.

With ten defenders in the squad, including four right backs, the debate has now turned to who will be in England’s starting 11, with the competition for defensive positions sky high.

So, do you think Southgate made the right calls? Let us know in the comments below.
