Gareth Southgate eyes up next Chelsea wonderkid in England training after Hudson-Odoi success

Callum Hudson-Odoi was an England success this week after making his full debut in the 5-1 win over Montenegro last night.

The 18-year-old Chelsea winger had come on as a substitute in the victory over the Czech Republic on Friday night and he has now announced himself on the international stage with to impressive performances.

It was a good weekend for Chelsea players all round, with Ross Barkley also having a superb weekend with the national side and netting a brace in the win last night.

But there was another Chelsea wonderkid under the watchful eye of England manager Gareth Southgate as Reece James took part in training with the senior side before they headed out to Montenegro.

The 19-year-old was part of the England U20s this week, however he got the chance to have a session with Southgate's team as well.

James is currently on loan at Wigan Athletic and having a superb season for the Championship side, playing mainly in the right-back role but also getting a chance in midfield.

Chelsea fans are hoping that James is going to get his chance in the senior side next season, with some disappointing performances by Cesar Azpilicueta and Davide Zappacosta being rarely used as a back-up.

James' future is still yet to be decided, however he certainly has some fans within the England set-up.
