Gareth Southgate has said it was an easy decision to include Tammy Abraham in his latest squad.
The Chelsea striker has been named in the squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
It's been a stunning start to the season for the young front man who has established himself as the Blues' number one attacker.
Asked if Abraham's inclusion was an easy decision, he said "It was really, I mean he's the leading English goalscorer in the league.
"He's obviously a player who we put into the squad very young at a time when we wanted to have a look at some younger English players to change the complexion of what we were doing in November ahead of the World Cup.
"That was a bit early for him.
It's brilliant the opportunity that's been given to him by Frank (Lampard) along with some of the other young English players at Chelsea so that's been fabulous for them and a great reward for their academy which has always been brilliantly run by Neil Bath, I have to say.
"It's a great chance for Tammy.
"He's always scored goals with our junior teams, he's always scored goals with Chelsea youth teams and he's done that on loan in the Championship fairly consistently and now he's really grasped this opportunity at the beginning of the season so it's well deserved."
