Gareth Southgate and Phil Neville celebrate as Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV

Gareth Southgate and Phil Neville were both at Super Bowl LIV as in a thrilling comeback victory.

The England men's and England women's football managers were at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to watch the climax to the NFL season.

Patrick Mahomes inspired the Kansas City Chiefs to a fourth quarter comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers to claim their first Super Bowl title in 50 years.

Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers looked set to land their sixth Vince Lombardi trophy as they led 20-10 with under seven minutes remaining in Miami.

Mahomes had thrown two interceptions since running for a touchdown in the first quarter, and the Chiefs attack were struggling against the league’s No.1 defence - for whom Rookie of the Year Nick Bosa had again been tremendous.

But in the final quarter Mahomes found Travis Kelce in the end zone to reduce the deficit before, after a quick three-and-out from the 49ers, leading a charge downfield from which Damien Williams rushed for a touchdown.

Jimmy Garoppolo, the 49ers much-talked about quarterback couldn’t find a response late in the day and when Williams ran clear once more, for a third touchdown in five minutes and 19 seconds, it secured victory and ended veteran coach Andy Reid’s wait for a Super Bowl.

Southgate and Neville also witnessed what was being called the sexiest Super Bowl halftime show ever.

Shakira kicked off the show in a red sequin mini dress as she belted out She Wolf surrounded by a troupe of back-up dancers.

She then grabbed an electric guitar and climbed up onto a podium.

The Colombian star showed off her signature hip-swivelling belly dancing moves as she moved on Whenever Wherever, prancing across the stage as the crowd went wild.

The star also treated the crowd to her hit Hips Don't Lie, jumping backwards off the stage to crowd surf, with members of the audience carrying her around the stage above their heads.

J-Lo took over proceedings in a sexy leather catsuit with chaps that showed off her famous bum.

She had a long pink skirt wrapped around her but quickly whipped it off to reveal her sultry outfit and work her way through a medley of her hits, including Jenny From The Block and Get Right.
