Gareth Gates 'worried his hair will fall out again' after Faye Brookes split

Gareth Gates is reportedly worried that he will start losing his hair again following his split from Faye Brookes.

The singer, 35, who announced the end of his engagement to the Coronation Street actress last week, is thought to be concerned about how the stress from the break-up will affect him.

Gareth first had a successful hair transplant back in 2017 after growing self-conscious about his receding hair line, and has been sporting a full head of hair ever since.

But according to the Sun , a source said he's panicking that the surgery will reverse and his luscious locks start falling out.

The source told the publication that Gareth is "very twitchy" about his hair and is conscious about how it is styled.

"He’s worried that the stress and strain of all this business with Faye will mean that the work of the surgeons will fail and he’ll have to go under the knife again."

Mirror Online have contacted Gareth Gates' reps for comment.

It was only a couple of years ago that the crooner confessed his thinning hair was making him miserable.

At the time he spoke about how important his looks were to him because of performing.

He told the Sun then how his hair had thinned over the years: "I’ve always wanted long hair, but I’ll be happy with dense, thick hair with a better hairline.

"I’m constantly on stage so image is a big, big thing for me and I have to look my best."

It comes after Gareth escaped the country on Tuesday, hoping to leave his heartache from his split behind.

The pop star admitted he couldn't leave the UK "fast enough" as it appeared he wanted to take his mind off his relationship woes.

He wrote: "I can't leave the UK fast enough... but doing it in style."

The songwriter was boarding the plane first class with his passport in hand, yet he did not let his 53.8K fans know where he was jetting off to.
