Gareth Gates has turned to his first passion in life to get over his split from ex-fiancée Faye Brookes .
The crooner posted a video of himself singing about heartbreak just days after news broke the couple had called it quits.
Gareth, 35, was joined by a guitarist as he sang a version of Jason Mraz's I Won't Give Up and uploaded it to Twitter along with a broken heart emoji.
He poured his heart into the track singing poignant lyrics like "I won't give up on us" and "I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily", with fans flooding his comments with words of support.
"Awwww this video is truly beautiful and touching. Thank you so much for putting it on here, truly appreciated. You’re a star. xx" wrote one fan.
"Beautiful. Made me cry hope you are okay," worried another.
"That is a really beautiful song Gareth, I hope you are doing ok. Sending you a hug and whatever happens in future always carry on doing what you love, you have a talent for singing and songwriting. Your songs bring so much happiness to your fans. Stay Strong," added a third.
"Your voice is just magical! Your fans are all behind you and your family I'm sure are helping you get through each day, keep doing you!" encouraged another.
Gareth shared his emotional video after his ex was seen moving her belongings out of the home she shared with the Pop Idol runner-up.
The Coronation Street star, 31, posted a picture of a removal van on her Insagram stories on Thursday night.
It was shared in the middle of a string of motivational quotes, including one that said: "Maybe a happy ending doesn't involve a guy. Maybe it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces."
Faye and Gareth got engaged earlier this year after he proposed while on a romantic trip to New York - but called time on the romance seven months later.
The pair met back in 2012 when they starred in the Legally Blonde musical together while Gareth was still married to his ex wife Suzanne Mole.
Faye said back in March that after their brief split in September their "intense" relationship was stronger than ever.
But earlier this week Gareth demanded Faye give back her £30,000 engagement ring.
