Gareth Gates shares photo of 12-year-old daughter Missy who looks just like dad

Gareth Gates shared a rare snap of his young daughter and she is certainly growing up very fast.

The singer always vowed to make social media a no-go area when it came to his Missy as he made moves to protect her privacy.

So fans were both surprised and happy to see the star give them a little peek into his family life.

He shared a photo of the 12-year-old, who he shares with his ex-wife Suzanne Mole.

He plants a kiss on the top of her head as the youngster beams wearing a cute black outfit.

She looks so like the former Pop Idol star, who shot to fame nearly 20 years ago on the talent contest.

Gareth captioned the snap: "My ENTIRE world.

"It’s not often I post photos of my little girl - she’s growing so up fast! Daddy loves you."

His fans and friends can't believe show quickly Missy is turning into a young woman.

Singer pal Zoe Birkett replied: "She’s absolutely gorgeous gaz x"

One follower put: "She is so grown up and she is stunning."

Another said: "What a beautiful Young lady, they grow up in a blink. My daughter is 10 already. So very precious."

Gareth's fans tuning into the news got a bit of a shock on Sunday - he had a new job.

A BBC newsreader accidentally called England boss Gareth Southgate 'Gareth Gates' on the bulletin.

Ahead of the Three Lions match against Italy in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium, the gaffe caused many supporters to take to twitter to point out the comical blunder in the build-up.

Gareth is a huge football fan and sadly his birthday today couldn't quite be complete.

He last uploaded a photo of his daughter nearly two years ago (Instagram)

The star turns 37 and on Sunday night spent time with friends and family having some drinks and foot watching England play in the Euro 2020 finale.

But it wasn't to be the perfect celebration.

Gareth, like the rest of the country, were left devastated as England lost on penalty kicks.

It meant Italy got their hands on the trophy at Wembley - leaving the national heartbroken.
