Gareth Bale to join Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning - Spanish reports

Reports in Spain tonight are stating that Wales star Gareth Bale is set to to sign for Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning.

A three-year deal has been agreed, state Marca , with Bale to earn around 22 million euros a season.

The Spanish publication state that only the minor details need to be sorted, and that Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, has been in talks with the Far East outfit for the past few weeks.

Relations between Bale and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane have been strained ever since the Frenchman return to the Bernabeu, and matters have come to a head over the past week.

The Real boss revealed that it would be "better for everybody" if Bale left the Spanish capital, prompting Barnett to label him "a disgrace" .

Premier League sides Manchester United and Tottenham have been linked with a move for Bale, while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently described him as "outstanding". Bayern Munich and PSG have also been mentioned as possible destinations.

But his huge wages in Spain - believed to be in the region of £600,000 a week - meant that a transfer to China always seemed possible, with Marca now stating that a deal could be sorted imminently.

Jiangsu Suning have a tie-up with Serie A side Inter, with the group behind them having purchased a 70% stake in the Milan club.
