Gareth Bale to finally play football again in 48 hours as he finds happiness with Wales

Gareth Bale has endured a torrid time at Real Madrid of late.

However, the 31-year-old was all smiles as he trained with his Wales team mates this weekend.

The Cardiff-born star's relationship with Zinedine Zidane has deteriorated even further in recent months, with Bale being frozen out as the Spanish giants won La Liga last term.

He hasn't played since June and has only been involved in two football matches since February.

But Bale will hope to kick-start his season by once again shining for his country against Finland and Bulgaria in the Nations League this week.

And the record scorer of Wales' men's side appears to have enjoyed being back in the international set-up, with Bale seen laughing and joking with team mates - including Chris Gunter - during a training session at the Vale Resort.

It comes after Ryan Giggs admitted he had not held talks with Zidane over Bale's lack of game time in the capital of Spain.

“I haven’t spoken to Zidane," said the Wales boss.

“My French and Spanish isn’t too good. That’s my way out of that one.

“I know Zidane’s English isn’t very good from experience.”

Wales face Finland in Helsinki on Thursday night before hosting Bulgaria at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Aaron Ramsey, Ashley Williams, David Brooks and Tyler Brooks have all withdrawn from the squad for the double header.

Ben Woodburn and Brennan Johnson have been called up to the senior squad from the Under-21 side.
