Gareth Bale sets Tottenham lofty target after impressing club staff in training

Gareth Bale's aim at Tottenham is to deliver the Premier League title according to his agent Jonathan Barnett.

The Welshman returned to the north London outfit after seven years away with Real Madrid.

Despite a lack of opportunity in the Spanish capital Bale still has a huge reputation and there is plenty of excitement srrounding his second coming.

The 31-year-old never won any silverware during his Tottenham career but harbours ambitions of taking them to the summit of English football.

Bale won 13 honours with Los Blancos and Barnett is confident he can continue that habit.

"Win the Premier League, without doubt," he said on Sky Sports News when questioned on his clients objectives.

"Tottenham have got a good squad, a great coach and with Gareth's help I'm sure they will get very close.

"You only have to see the results from last week to see that it's open.

"It kills me to say that because I'm an Arsenal supporter, but that's the reality.

"He has nothing to prove to anybody. He's won more than anybody else. He was one of the best three or four players in the world and I think he still is.

"If he succeeds, great, If not, he's been there and done it, but, I think he will succeed."

Optimism around Tottenham is high following their start to the season which saw them put six past Manchester United at Old Trafford.
