Gareth Bale secretly marries his Cardiff sweetheart in hush-hush wedding on tiny Spanish island

Gareth Bale has married his childhood sweetheart in a hush-hush ceremony on the exclusive £130,000-a-week private island where they got engaged.

Wales and Real Madrid ace Bale and partner Emma Rhys-Jones had been due to marry at Vincigliata Castle in Tuscany last year with Beyonce as their wedding singer.

But they had postponed it after a “rollercoaster” year.

Instead the nuptials took take place on the tiny Spanish island of Tagomago last month with just 60 guests attending, according to reports. The island, just half a mile from Ibiza, holds special memories for the couple.

It is where Bale popped the question to Emma back in 2016 during his 27th birthday celebrations, proving the perfect icing on the cake after Wales' Euro 2016 exploits.

Watch as Bale is cheekily asked for a photo by a Slovakian journalist at press conference:

It's reported the ceremony on Tagomago was so private the guests were only told the location 24 hours before and had to hand over their mobile phones to ex-SAS security guards.

The Bales are said to be considering a wedding party later this year for those who could not attend.
