Gareth Bale’s future has been up in the air for much of the summer transfer window.
But if recent reports are anything to go by, the Welshman’s future will soon be resolved.
Bale has won the Champions League four times during his six-year spell at Real Madrid, playing a starring role in that success.
But he has continuously been linked with a return to the Premier League, following reports that he has not settled in Spain and not fully integrated with his teammates in Madrid.
Manager Zinedine Zidane left the 29-year-old out on number of occasions at the end of last season, and he has confirmed that he will leave the club this summer.
Zidane said: “Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving. We hope he leaves soon, if tomorrow it would be better. We are working on his transfer to a new team.”
Tottenham were linked with a shock move, although his astronomical wages made any transfer back to N17 impossible.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also been tipped to make a move and it seems we will soon find out where the flying frontman will end up.
Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett was not impressed by Zidane's comments, however, hitting back at the Real boss.
He said: “Zidane is a disgrace, he shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid.
"If and when Gareth goes it will be because it is in the best interest of Gareth and nothing to do with Zidane pushing.
"We are working on it."
