Gareth Bale will not be leaving Real Madrid on loan this summer, according to his agent Jonathan Barnett.
The former Tottenham star has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, with the Welshman falling out of favour at the La Liga giants.
But while Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has said that Bale is "very close to leaving" the club and that his exit would be "best for everyone", the Welshman's agent has spoken out about the current situation.
And although Bale has been linked with a return to Spurs, with reports that Tottenham could try to sign him on loan, Barnett has ruled such a deal out.
“There will be no makeshift deals to get him out of the club," Barnett told Sky Sports News .

“Gareth is one of the best players on the planet. I can guarantee you he will not be going on loan to any club.”
The 30-year-old Welshman has also previously been linked with a move to Manchester United, while Jiangsu Suning and Beijing Guoan are understood to be keen on bringing him to the Chinese Super League.
However, the transfer window in China closes in just eight days’ time, meaning that time is running out for such a deal to be done.
“Gareth is a Real Madrid player and for now he’s staying as a Real Madrid player,” said Barnett.
“If something comes along that suits us, then things could change and he could be gone in a day or a week. Or he could still be a Real player in three years when his contract ends.”
Bale trained with his team-mates yesterday ahead of the game tonight against Arsenal.
