Gareth Bale's agent delivers huge transfer update amid talk of a Tottenham return

Gareth Bale's agent has said that his client is going nowhere amid fresh rumours of a return to Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports suggested that Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy was in talks with Real Madrid over a possible move for Bale as the 30-year-old struggled for regular game time in La Liga for the first part of the season.

However, Jonathan Barnett has poured cold water on the rumours saying that his client is 'happy' at his current club.

"At the moment he's going to be playing football this evening for Real Madrid. He's got another two-and-a-half years on his contract and he'll be fine," he said.

There was also suggestions that Bale could go out on loan in order to get more playing time, but again Barnett was quick to deny the reports.

"No loan move. He’s one of the best players on earth, why would one of the best players on earth go somewhere on loan? That’s ridiculous," he added.

"That's what I've always said [that he will fulfil his contract] and never deviated, that's where I'm going to stay. Things could change but loans are ridiculous.

"There are not many clubs who can afford him anyway. He’s happy, he'll play for Real Madrid and hopefully win a couple more things with them."

The agent was also asked about a possible return to Spurs, where Bale spent six-years of his career, but the representative was unequivocal in his answer:"I'm an Arsenal supporter thank you very much," he said.
