Gareth Bale reveals if iconic heart celebration will return and what he's noticed about Joe Rodon

Gareth Bale is back amongst the goals for Tottenham after such a frustrating start to his return to the club from Real Madrid.

In and out of the team in the first few months of the season due to fitness and injury issues, the Welshman is finally getting a good run in the team and the goals are starting to flow as a result.

Hitting another double for the team on Sunday as they beat Crystal Palace 4-1, Bale now has six in his last six games for the Lilywhites and appears to be getting back to his very best.

Known for his iconic heart celebration during his first spell at the club, the 31-year-old has produced a 'WM' celebration in recent weeks in reference to Tottenham's 'Welsh Mafia' at the club.

So could Tottenham fans actually see him produce his old celebration over the coming games?

Well, that was put to him during a Q&A on Twitch (which can be viewed by swiping up on the club's Instagram stories) alongside teammate Joe Rodon and he outlined what it would take for him to do it in a Spurs shirt once again.

"Yeah, of course. I need to score some more goals obviously," he explained. "At the moment the 'Welsh Mafia' is front and centre at the moment."

When asked about the meaning behind it, Bale said: "A lot of people don't know but it came from ages ago with my wife now. Just done it when I was younger years ago and it started from there and got bigger and bigger."

With a number of questions put to the duo in the Twitch Q&A, Rodon was asked if he's improved as a player since moving to the club in October from Swansea City.

While he may not have had a lot of game time in recent weeks due to the players available to Jose Mourinho. training alongside world-class players day in, day out at Hotspur Way has definitely improved his game.

"I think going up against top players is only going to improve me and make me better for future," said the centre-back.

"I'll never know, who knows, until I go away with the national team and see a difference as in the level. Only training with top players like that is going to improve me and make it better for me."

Bale did actually interrupt midway through the defender's answer and stated: "I've seen a difference and he's improving a lot."

Clearly making an impression at their Enfield training base, Spurs fans will be hoping to see plenty more of the youngster over the coming years.
