Gareth Bale receives Rangers fans’ love after elbowing racism accused Ondrej Kudela

Wales superstar Gareth Bale has been receiving praise and adulation from Rangers supporters - after landing a painful-looking elbow on Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela.

The pair clashed in the closing stages of Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier in Cardiff, with the Spurs striker glancing at his opponent before swinging his arm in the direction of the Czech Republic centre-back.

The Welsh saw off their opponents 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Manchester United's Daniel James, but Rangers fans were more impressed by Bale's actions, with sympathy in short supply for Kudela, who is being investigated after Glen Kamara accused the centre-back of calling him a "f*****g monkey" during a Europa League last-16 tie at Ibrox on March 18.

On Twitter, @ibroxrocks said: 'Bale just elbowed Kudela. Top man, Gareth.'

Whilst @JohnMci62262953 added: 'Bale top three moments... 1. Elbowing Kudela 2. bickey in Champions League Final 3. Hat-trick against Inter.'

And @Hurlett said: 'Gareth Bale appreciation tweet for taking out Kudela with a cheeky elbow.'

After collapsing in a heap following Bale's challenge, Kudela had to be replaced in the 87th minute by team-mate Antonio Barak.

Police Scotland and Uefa are both investigating the allegation made by Kamara.
