Gareth Bale 'offered £10m loan return to Premier League' after latest Real Madrid snub

Real Madrid’s desperate bid to offload Gareth Bale this summer has seen the superstar offered a sensational return to Tottenham - in what would be a cut-price £10million loan move.

Zinedine Zidane, who returned as Madrid manager earlier this season, doesn’t see a future for Bale at the Bernabeu.

The Madrid coach left Bale out of his squad for the recent defeat at Real Sociedad amid talk of a summer move away from the La Liga club for the Wales international.

And the Spanish giants are seemingly set on their decision to part ways with the forward, so much so that they are willing to take a hit on his wages.

The Sun has claimed that Spurs are considering the possibility of a loan swoop for Bale, having ruled out a permanent deal for their former hero.

Bale earns around £600,000 a week at Madrid, and Spurs’ strict wage structure means it’s unlikely they’d be able to match his current wage demands.

However Real are willing to accept any offer in which a club would pay £250,000, along with a £10m loan fee for the season.

Manchester United are also believed to be keen on Bale, though he perhaps would prefer a move to a club in which he spent six years with - scoring 56 goals in 203 appearances.

Another reason Bale could choose Spurs over United is that his former employers will be playing Champions League football next season, while United will have to settle for the Europa League.

Meanwhile Zidane praised former Manchester City midfielder Brahim Diaz but would not speculate over the future of Bale following Real Madrid's 3-1 defeat at Real Sociedad.

Sociedad won with goals from Mikel Merino, Joseba Zaldua and Ander Barrenetxea after Diaz gave the visitors an early lead.

To make matters worse for the visitors they had Jesus Vallejo sent off in the first half for handball although Thibaut Courtois did save Willian Jose's resulting spot-kick.

Zidane said of Diaz: "He has played well. He is a good player and very interesting.

"He's young, we'll see what happens next year. He has had minutes and he has done well.”

On Bale, he said: "We'll see if he's going to be (playing) next week. He's fine physically. We will see the next game and next year. It's clear what I've done for this week."
