Gareth Bale names his ultimate Tottenham 5-a-side team as he makes huge claim about club legend

Gareth Bale has played alongside some very good players during his two spells at Tottenham.

Making the move to White Hart Lane from Southampton in 2007 after bursting onto the scene, the Welshman played week in, week out with the likes of Luka Modric, Rafael van der Vaart and Mousa Dembele before departing for Real Madrid.

A lot has changed at the club in his seven years away but he is still playing alongside quality players in N17.

Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Tanguy Ndombele are the immediate ones who stand out, with plenty of others in Jose Mourinho's squad to choose from as well.

But who would he pick in his all-time Spurs 5-a-side team?

Well, this was put to Bale as he took part in a special Q&A on Twitch and he had rather a tough job on his hands selecting five players.

"I'd go Hugo in goal just because he's the best I've seen in a Tottenham shirt because I'm 31 and I'm not that old," he explained.

"I would go Ledley King at the back just because he's the king and he was the best centre-back I've ever seen. If it wasn't for injuries he would have been the best in the world no doubt.

"I would go upfront Harry for the amount of goals he's scored and he's an amazing player. Then I'd go me and Sonny beside him."

However, he soon had second thoughts when he was asked why he didn't select Dembele in the middle of the park.

"I've only got five and I feel loyal to Sonny and H. I've got to see them tomorrow," he joked.

"Actually I'd take myself out and put Tanguy in. I'll be manager."

Joe Rodon was also taking part in the Twitch Q&A and he was asked to do the same but his team slightly differed to his fellow countryman.

"I'm going to go with players since I've been here," he revealed. "Obviously I'll go with Hugo in goal, as Gareth mentioned he has been a massive player for this club. Very good shot stopper as well.

"At the back, I'm going to go with a skilful five, I'll go with Serge, as I want to attack and not be defensive, as my defender. I'm going to go with Tanguy Ndombele in there because his feet are unbelievable.

"I'll go with Gareth also and H as well. Just pure goals."
