Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema were the only two members of the Real Madrid squad not to attend a team building dinner on Wednesday, according to Marca.
Returning boss Zinedine Zidane is seeking to rebuild the morale of a squad which has underachieved under both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari this season, falling way behind Barcelona in La Liga and suffering a shock defeat to Ajax in the last-16 of the Champions League.
Seeking to improve the harmony within his squad, Zidane reportedly took them all, along with club staff, to the Asador Donostiarra restaurant in Madrid on Wednesday evening, reports the Mirror.
Bale has been heavily linked with a move away from Real this summer, with fans now openly turning against him after six years at the club.
Zidane also failed to provide any assurances on his future following the recent win over Eibar.
There has been no reason given for either the Welshman's absence or Benzema's, but Bale was criticised for missing a similar team dinner back in February.
It was revealed back then that Real teammates had dubbed Bale "The Golfer" due to his frequent time on golf courses away from the squad, from whom it was said that he often isolated himself from as he failed to adapt to the Spanish way of life.
