Gareth Bale 'makes transfer declaration' to Real Madrid board amid Man Utd interest

Gareth Bale is standing firm over his Real Madrid future and has told club chiefs that he will not be forced out this summer.

The Welshman has been deemed surplus to requirements by Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, who is preparing for a huge summer clearout.

Mirror Football revealed on Friday that Bale could be included in a deal with Manchester United to bring Paul Pogba to Spain.

Bale could be used as a sweetener if an agreement can be reached on the remaining three years of his mega contract worth over £600,000-a-week.

However reports in Spain have claimed that Bale wants to stay put regardless of the club’s stance.

According to Spanish daily AS , Bale has reportedly told club chiefs not to entertain any bids for his signature, a decision that has shocked some board members.

The former Tottenham star’s agent Jonathan Barnett has made clear his client’s desire to fight for his place in the team next season.

This is despite the likelihood that Bale will have to settle for a bit-part role, with Zidane not a fan of the forward.

Bale was an unused sub in Real’s final game of the season — and didn’t even make their two previous match-day squads.

He is currently on international duty and played the full 90 minutes on Saturday as Wales suffered a 2-1 defeat at Croatia in their Euro 2020 qualifier.
