Gareth Bale and team-mates' response to the genius 'Wales golf Madrid' chant from fans

Gareth Bale has given his new “Wales. Golf. Madrid” chant the thumbs up ahead of the crucial Euro 2020 qualifier against Hungary.

Former Real Madrid player Predrag Mijatovic recently criticised the Cardiff-born star’s love of golf following his lack of action for the La Liga giants.

In a column for Spanish media outlet AS, he wrote: “The first thing he thinks about is Wales, then golf and after that, Real Madrid.”

The Red Wall responded by using “Wales. Golf. Madrid.” as the lyrics to the tune of the 30-year-old’s regular Viva Gareth Bale chant during the 2-0 win over Azerbaijan in Baku.

One supporter has also added the motto to a Wales flag that will be on display at Cardiff City Stadium when the Red Dragons lock horns with Hungary.

And Bale admits the new song is a “bit of fun”.

“Yeah I heard it, especially when I was on the bench when I came off,” Bale told Sgorio.

“The boys were laughing, so it’s a good bit of fun.”

Wales will qualify for Euro 2020 by beating Hungary tomorrow night.

They will go into the play-offs if they fail to secure victory.
