Gareth Bale agent makes statement on star's future after meeting Real Madrid chiefs

Gareth Bale is happy at Real Madrid and has no plans to return to the Premier League, according to the Welsh star's agent.

Real winger Bale has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer having struggled in the Spanish capital this season.

Bale has been subjected to boos and jeers from Real fans in recent week having failed to make an impression.

Bale has made 25 appearances in La Liga this season, scoring eight goals and creating two assists, yet he has seemed unhappy at times in the Spanish capital.

Plenty of Premier League clubs have been linked with Bale ahead of the transfer window re-opening, with Manchester United apparently at the head of the list.

But Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has insisted the Wales international is going no where.

"He is very happy here," Barnett said. "He is a Real Madrid player and right now he is not thinking about a return to England."

When asked whether Bale would be at the club next season he added: "I can't predict the future. But for now he is happy."

Why Real Madrid fans hate Gareth Bale as superstar is booed again

When asked about Bale's future, Zidane simply said: "We will see."

“Gareth is a Real Madrid player with two years left on his contract.

“We’re not happy about the whistles, but the public comes to see their team do well.

“There was a reaction and I’m left with that, the public knows that the season is over, that we play to try and finish second.”
