Wales star Gareth Anscombe has sent a personal message to Cardiff Blues fans after his move to the rival Ospreys was confirmed.
The fly-half has been at the centre of Welsh rugby's biggest transfer saga this season but his future was confirmed yesterday.
The good news for Welsh rugby supporters is that he will be staying in Wales and, as such, will continue to be eligible for the national squad.
But Blues fans will have to get used to seeing the man they once heralded in black.
The 27-year-old posted the following message on Instagram: "It is with mixed emotions that I write this, excited for my new journey but also sad to leave a group/team I have a lot of respect for.

"First and foremost I want to thank everyone that's supported me at the Blues, it hasn't always been the easiest and your support has helped me which I will never forget and will forever be grateful for.
"On a positive, I am excited to start a new challenge and hope to continue working on my game so I can be the best I can be and am grateful the Ospreys are giving me that opportunity.

In an intriguing twist, Anscombe's final game for the Blues will be against the Ospreys on Judgement Day - if picked - and the winner of that match will go through to the Champions Cup play-off.
