Gardening booklet aimed at promoting biodiversity available free to all Dubliners

Nature is making a comeback in Dublin thanks to the lockdown - and now a new gardening manual that encourages wildlife is available for FREE to all Dubliners.

The new 'Gardening for Biodiversity' booklet, which can be  downloaded here, has been produced to help homeowners promote wildlife in their front and back yards.

Those not in a position to download an electronic version of the book can get their own hard copy by post.

The beuatifully  illustrated book covers everything from what to plant for pollinators like bees to making an "air b&b" for swifts and was funded by the Department for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht as part of an initiative to encourage projects under the National Biodiversity Action Plan.

Free hard copies of the booklet will be posted to people living in Dublin on request from heritage@dublincity.ie.
