Gardener dies after being dragged into woodchipper outside school

A gardener has died after being dragged into a woodchipper while he was working.

The horror accident happened in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday.

Fijian national Samuela Cirivakayawa, 40, was reportedly working alongside two other colleagues when the tragedy happened.

They discovered a pool of blood and immediately called police.

The trio were trimming trees and putting the branches into the woodchipper outside a school when the victim was dragged into the machine at around 8.30am.

Two of the men had gone to try and find the owner of a car in order to get them to move the vehicle, news.com reports.

They returned to find the gruesome scene, but by then it was too late.

It is not yet known how Mr Cirivakayawa was pulled into the woodchipper.

An investigation is underway.

A spokesman for New South Wales Police told news.com: "There is no update, police are preparing a report for the Coroner."
