Gardai warn of pickpockets driving around Meath pretending to ask for directions

Gardai are warning of a criminal pair trying to pickpocket from their car by pretending to ask for directions.

They were spotted in Meath attempting to steal from a local who they targeted earlier today.

Gardai warned of "two suspicious people in a black 'KK' registered car" who were spotted driving around the Moynalty area.

A garda spokesman said: "The occupants attempted to pickpocket from a person in the village when pretending to look for directions."

The pickpockets' location is currently unknown.

Gardai are asking anyone with information to call 999 or 112.
