Gardai treating Dublin pub fire as 'criminal damage' with manhunt underway to find thugs

An investigation has been launched to find the criminals behind a fire at a north Dublin pub on Wednesday night.

Footage obtained by Dublin Live shows the blaze breaking out at The Willows Pub in Finglas shortly after 9pm.

It is believed that workers from a nearby takeaway raised the alarm with emergency services arriving on the scene a short time later.

The scene in Finglas has been examined by the Garda Scenes of Crimes team.

Investigating officers have said that they are treating the blaze as a criminal damage incident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It is unsure whether the main part of the pub has been damaged in the fire with footage showing flames and smoke coming from the outside area only.

The short clip taken by one of the locals nearby sees the blaze taking over the outside area of the establishment.
