Gardai rushed to a south Dublin area in a hunt for a duo who had left residents 'shaken' following terrifying incidents.
Officers were called to the Ballycullen area after reports of attempted early morning break-ins in the space of one hour in the quiet area.
Dodderbrook locals were horrified after two men tried to force entry to apartments and houses in the locality while homeowners were still in bed.
One targeted local told Dublin Live that the men are still at large since Monday.
They said: "Two fellas tried to break into my apartment and my neighbours' houses on Monday morning at half 6.
"I'm okay now but still a little shaken up by the whole thing.
"Everyone needs to be careful and it's a reminder to everyone to keep their alarms on and windows shut even when they're in the house."
