Gardai stormed several north Dublin areas last night arresting one person after reports of a car crime gang tormenting locals for hours.
Residents said that a group tried to gain entry to parked cars across numerous parks, estates and roads along Marino and Fairview.
The duo were spotted trying cars along paths and driveways in Lomond Avenue around midnight before moving onto Casino Road, Brian Avenue and St. Declan’s Terrace before finishing up in Griffith Avenue just before 2am.
The culprits were reportedly wearing dark clothes along with black gloves and white runners.

Gardai were alerted to the gang and immediately sent a car out to Griffith Avenue where they arrested one person in his 40s.
A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "We responded to an incident of criminal damage in Griffith Avenue, Marino, Dublin 9 at roughly 1:50am on 9 February in which a male aged in his late 40s attempted to gain entry to a car."
He added: "The male was arrested and conveyed to Clontarf Garda Station where he is still in custody."
A warning has been sent around to residents as it is suspected that another member of the gang is still at large.
They have been urged once again to make sure their cars are locked, immobilized and alarmed where possible.
