Gardai in Dublin nabbed a motorist on suspicion of drink-driving - who also had no tax, insurance or driving licence.

An Garda Siochana shared a photo of the vehicle which shows an open can of Guinness in one of the door compartments.

The driver, who was stopped in Blanchardstown on Monday morning, was arrested and their car was seized.

A tweet on the official Garda Traffic account said: "DMR RPU stopped this car this morning in Blanchardstown. Driver had no licence/ tax or insurance.

"Driver arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Car seized and proceedings to follow. Never ever drink and drive."

Meanwhile, another motorist on a learner permit was caught breaking the speed limit in Kerry while driving unaccompanied and it emerged they were also disqualified from driving.

Gardai said: "Kerry RPU detected the driver of a car driving on learner permit (unaccompanied) at 133km/h in 100km/h zone at Abbeyfeale.
