Gardai sized a vehicle from a driver offering a power washing service to people in Co. Clare on Saturday.
Officers in Shannon came across a vehicle with a trailer full of equipment.
The occupants are said to have been offering a 'power washing service' to locals in the area.
However upon inspection Gardai said the trailer had a number of defects including damaged tyres and the vehicle did not have the correct insurance for business purposes.
As a result officers seized the car.
A spokesperson said: "Shannon Gardaí came across this vehicle, the occupants were offering power washing service to locals.
"The trailer was found to have a number of defects and the drivers insurance did not cover using the vehicle for business purposes.
"Vehicle seized and proceedings commenced."
