Gardai stand down search for missing Donegal woman Colleen Magner after discovery of body

The search for a woman missing since Sunday has been stood down following the discovery of a body.

Colleen Magner, 43, was last seen in the Derrybeg area of Co Donegal on Sunday, May 17.

Gardai issued a missing person's media appeal on Tuesday morning.

However, a spokesman has said this afternoon that a body has been found in the search for Ms Magner

He said: "Following the discovery of a body the missing person search for Colleen Magnar has been stood down.

"We would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.

"No further information is being made available."
