Gardai were forced to jump into action after two groups of Dublin football fans almost came to loggerheads in the middle of a busy street.
Footage taken before last night's fiery derby between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians shows the groups on Cookstown Way run at each other before gardai jump in.
Vans come speeding around the corner to block them off before gardai form a barricade and push the men back.
The video, which was uploaded to Reddit, shows one person being "calmed" by officers against the side of the ambulance.
Others get ushered down in to the opposite end of the street before they start running away from two gardai.
Gardai told Dublin Live one man was arrested and a file has been sent to the DPP.
They said: "A Garda public order unit attended a gathering of two groups of football fans in the Cookstown Way area of Tallaght.
"One male in his 20s was arrested and taken to Tallaght Garda Station and later released. A file will be prepared for the DPP."
Away from the shenanigans Dublin was Shamrock Rovers 0 Bohemians 1: Bohs close the gap on top with controversial win over nine-man Rovers in Dublin Derby after Bohs stormed to (another) win over their fiercest rivals.
Talismanic Dinny Corcaran's first half goal was enough to decide the fiery game which saw Rovers play almost 60 minutes with nine men.
Trevor Clarke was followed into the dressing room by teammate Lee Grace as both players were given marching orders in the first half.
The challenge that sealed Grace's faith saw Corcaran step up for the penalty which he managed to slot in on the rebound.
The result sees Bohs move up to second trailing their rivals by five points.
