Gardai share footage of drunk driving that saw man disqualified for 20 years and jailed for three

Video footage shows a drunk driver weaving towards oncoming traffic as other road users forced to react on a Cork road.

The driver has since been jailed for three years while his licence has been disqualified for 20 years.

In video footage shared by Gardai, the drunk driver is seen driving in a silver Citreon C3 along a rural road crossing lanes on multiple occasions as oncoming traffic is forced to react to avoid a collision.

The man in his 30s appeared before Cork Circuit Criminal Court today where he was convicted for drink driving and dangerous driving among other offences.

The man received a four year prison sentence, with one year suspended, and he was disqualified from driving for 20 years.

They said: "This driver appeared before Cork Circuit Criminal Court today and was convicted for drink driving and dangerous driving among other offences.

"Received a four year prison sentence, with one suspended and has been disqualified from driving for 20 years."
