Gardai send warning as disgusting creep approaches scared locals 'from bushes' in Kildare

Gardai have issued an eerie warning after receiving several reports of someone approaching scared locals from the bushes.

The disgusting creep is said to have crept up on walkers in a Kildare area in broad daylight recently.

Some reported that the man had been acting suspiciously in the bushes before making the approaches.

A spate of incidents are understood to have happened in the Lakes area of Naas last Tuesday, May 5 at around 5-7pm.

Investigating officers have asked anyone with information to come forward to help with their inquiries.

This area of Kildare has been very popular with families in recent days but Gardai have been forced to remove people from the area as big gatherings were beginning to take place there.

A Garda spokesman said: "With the fine weather over the weekend we have noticed an increasing trend of people lingering and gathering in public spaces including green open areas and adjacent to waterways."

He added: "We must remind people of the Government guidelines and restrictions.

"Everyone needs to stay at home to help slow the spread of coronavirus."
