Gardai seize thousands of euro worth of cocaine and cannabis from fake food delivery cyclist

Gardai have seized thousands of euros worth of cocaine and cannabis from a fake food delivery cyclist in Dublin.

The Street Crime Unit stopped and searched a cyclist who was pretending to be a food delivery courier.

They seized drugs that were worth approximately €7,950 (analysis pending).

€2655 in cash was also seized.

The cyclist was arrested.

A garda spokesperson said: "End of the Line for food courier, there are no on-the-Pot fines for this.

"As part of Operation Tara the Street Crime Unit based at Pearse Street Garda Station, stopped and searched a cyclist posing as food delivery courier.

"Investigations are ongoing."
