Garda checkpoints Dublin: Car seized from unaccompanied learner driver found with no insurance, tax or NCT

A South Dublin motorist found themselves in hot water last night after being stopped at a garda checkpoint.

The car was stopped on Grove Road in Terenure and was found to have no insurance, tax or NCT.

The driver was also discovered to be a learner who was unaccompanied.

Gardai seized the vehicle and issued fixed penalty notices were issued to the motorist while court proceedings will also follow.

They tweeted: "While conducting a checkpoint on Grove Road, Terenure Gardaí seized this vehicle as driver had no insurance, no tax and no NCT.

"Driver was also an unaccompanied learner. FCNs and court proceedings to follow."
