Gardai seized a haul of cannabis plants worth €40,000 when they raided a growhouse in a sleepy village on Monday.
Cops from Ardee swooped on the property in Dromiskin, Co Louth, where they found 43 mature cannabis plants along with a significant quantity of harvested plant material.
A garda spokesperson said: "The total estimated street value of the cannabis discovered is €40,000.
"No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing. The scene is currently being examined by Garda Scenes of Crime Examiners."
