Gardai seize cannabis and cocaine worth €18,500 and stun gun as two arrested in Clonmel, Co Tipperary

Gardai have seized cocaine and cannabis worth an estimated €18,500, €980 in cash, weighing scales, mobile phones and a number of offensive weapons, including a stun gun (examination pending) in Co Tipperary.

The bust was made today at a premises in Clonmel at around 2.30pm by gardai from Clonmel Garda Station assisted by the Regional Dog Unit, Henry Street.

The raid was carried out as part of ongoing operations targeting drugs distribution networks in the South Tipperary area.

A garda spokesperson said:"Two men aged in their 30s were arrested and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Clonmel Garda Station.

"They can be held for up to seven days.

"Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow."
