Gardai seize €60,000 worth of cocaine and fake gun from house in Newmarket, Co Cork

Gardai have seized €60,000 worth of cocaine and a fake gun from a house in Cork.

Just after 9pm last night, members from the Mallow District Drugs Unit, Regional Support Unit and Regional Dog Unit, carried out the search of a home in Newmarket.

A garda spokeswoman said: "During the course of the search, Gardaí seized suspected cocaine and an imitation firearm which will both be sent for analysis.

"No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing."
