Gardai searching for pedal cyclist after male motorcyclist, 45, killed in Mulhuddart crash

Gardai are looking to speak to a pedal cyclist who was at the scene of a fatal collision in west Dublin on Wednesday evening.

A male motorcyclist, 45, died following a crash with a car driven by a man, 50, on the Old Navan Road at the entrance of an estate in Mulhuddart.

The road between Coolmine Cottages and Saddlers Estate was closed at 7:30pm as emergency services attended the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown but passed away a short time later with a post mortem due to take place.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time especially a pedal cyclist who was also at the scene and witnessed the collision.
