Gardai seal off Phibsborough home after car ploughs into house destroying wall

North Dublin residents woke up to chaos after a car rammed into a house in an early-morning crash.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the collision on Leo's Road in Phibsborough.

Pictures show the extensive damage caused after the car smashed into the front of the property causing the wall to crumble.

Two fire engines and an ambulance attended the scene but nobody was hurt.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the 7th July 2021 at 8.30am where a car struck a house in Phibsborough, Co. Dublin.

"No injuries have been reported at this time."

A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said on Twitter: "Firefighter/Advanced Paramedics from Phibsborough fire station were called to a road traffic collision this morning.

"Two fire engines including an emergency tender and one ambulance attended the incident. The property was stabilised and the scene made safe."
