Gardai seal off and storm Dublin area after 'as many as 10 gunshots' fired in Bluebell

Gardai stormed and closed off a busy Dublin area late last night after 'as many as 10 gunshots' were fired.

Officers rushed to reports of the shooting incident in the Bluebell area at around 11:30pm.

Dublin Live understands that La Touche Road was flooded by Gardai just before midnight after the spraying occurred.

One witness told Dublin Live that "as many as 10 shots were heard in the area".

A search of the area was conducted following the incident and no damage was found to property and nobody was injured.

A Garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "We responded to reports of apparent shots fired in the Bluebell area yesterday evening, 28 April at approximately 11.30pm."

"A search of the area was conducted and no damage was found to property."

She added that no further information was available at this time and investigations were ongoing.
