Gardai rush to the scene of massive row among youths in Dublin

Gardai raced to the scene of a massive row among a number of youths in Dublin this evening.

The row happened at around 7.25 pm on Drumcondra Road lower.

Videos show the youths as they raced away from the scene as soon as they heard the sirens.

One shocked local said: “Stuff like this never happens in Drumcondra. It was very strange. One young lad got a bad bang and was laid out on the ground.

"Thankfully he was helped up by friends and seemed to be alright when he walked away."

Commuters on their way home from work were stunned by the scene which escalated so quickly.

The gardai were praised by locals for their rapid response time.

A garda spokesperson said: "Youths leaving a match were involved in a verbal disagreement with other match supporters.

"Gardai arrived at the scene and the youths dispersed peacefully. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
